As West African countries prepare to adopt the new unifying single currency called Eco, i realized that people have different opinion on the matter but for regional unity, development and easy transactions between West African businesses, I support the idea. It will also help countries with huge inflation. Business will boom drastically as trade or transactions across West will become easy. It will unite the countries and everyone will have a sense of brotherhood. Eco currency across West Africa will liberate the French speaking countries from the pang and control of France. It is unfortunate that the French speaking African countries don't have their own central bank or reserve, everything is organized from Paris. For many years, France had kicked against French speaking West Africans from been a part of this. The C.E.O of Anago Osho Adventures and Heritage Preservation, Mr Anago James Akeem Osho, launched the organizations new logo on the 30th of June 2019. The first logo was designed by him in 1998. The new one still carries some characteristics of the old one. It could be said that it was an improvement of the old one. Characteristics such as the map of continental Africa, the world globe, the figure of a head inside the map of Africa, and the organizations name is still written boldly across the image. New ideas are added to make the logo emphatic. It was a collaboration between Ash 7 studios and Anago Osho Adventures.

The topic of The lecture was "Celebrating Freedom from slavery at the centenary of Seriki Williams Abass and the lessons of his legacy". Chief Seriki Williams Abass died on the 11th of june 1919 at Badagry and the 11th of June 2019 marks the year of his demise as been a 100 years ago. His centenary was been used as a point of contact to celebrate freedom from Slavery. Establishment The Seriki Faremi Williams Abass Slave Museum (Brazilian Baracoon) was established in 2003, in the family compound of Chief Seriki Faremi Williams Abass in Badagry, Lagos. The Seriki Williams Abass Compound was first made a monument in 1940 during the colonial administration that made Chief Seriki Williams Abass the Senior Chief Ilaro Division (SCID) in 1913. This made him the paramount Chief of the division which includes Badagry. As soon as Nigeria gained her independence in 1960, the monument became abandoned until 2003 when the government of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (the former president of Nigeria) made the heritage a national monument through the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria. Abeokuta is an historically important town in Africa. It is located in the South West of Nigeria. It was founded around 1830 by the Yorubas who left the hinterland as a result of the Owu war of 1821-1827. Majority of those who first settled there were the Egbas and other groups like the Owus followed them although at first in small numbers until around 1834, when Sodeke, the head of the town heared that the Owu's are heading toward Whydah to resettle. He met the Owu's whom were the lead characters in the Owu wars to settle down in Abeokuta with them. The Owu leader responded to Sodeke that the IFA oracle instructed them to settle down near a river. And excitingly, Sodeke reminded them of the Ogun river in Abeokuta. They settled down there but some members of the group did not stayed but rather continued their journey to Whydah, hence today just as there are Owu Abeokuta, Owu Kuta, Orile Owu, etc. There is Owu Whydah in today's Republic of Benin. Anago Osho re-enacted an enslaved scene It is no more news that many enslaved people were stolen away from Africa against their will. The Arabs organized the trans Saharan human chattel trafficking that lasted for about 1,400 years. They were selling enslaved Africans to the Europeans at a time to places like Italy, Spain etc. The Europeans understudied the Arabs and perfected the art of human trafficking that lasted for about 300-400 years. The biggest slave port is not the issue because if the Arabs sold enslaved Africans for about 1,400 years, we should know that it would have been huge. Both East, Central, West and some Southern Africans were devastated by them. Remember the migrations from Egypt, Nubia, etc. to West Africa. Many of our Ancestors were taken from Congo, Angola, Gabon and other places in that region. The act of jumping into the sea from the slave ships by enslaved Africans during the middle passage was an act of resistance. Africans resisted from the first forceful capture. The first Africans that were forcefully captured by the Portuguese sailors from around 1441 or 1444 arrived Portugal with bruises and wounds all over their bodies and Prince Henry the Navigator lamented over the ill treatment but later played along when he realized the economic benefit of enslaving other human beings.
