Takwa Bay Beach, Tarkway Bay Island, Lagos

Anago Osho at Takwa Bay

It is not gain saying to say this is one of the best beaches in Lagos-Nigeria, but what Takwa Bay offers are more than what people know. It is not just a beach, it is "a place to play and bay" according to Anago Osho.

The neatness of the sea shore and gentle tide and friendly faces are bewildering. The money spent on the trip are worth it, and the satisfaction and peace will encourage another trip.

It is important to know that Tarkwa Bay is an Island and you can only get there by boat.

I happen to meet a Yoruba man who was working as a tour guide on one of these European tour buses. He was a Yoruba from Ibadan. In my conversation with him, he informed me that the Nago were not Yoruba. How can this be? I wanted to debate with this Brother, but I change my mind. I asked myself, "How can I debate with this Brother who is Yoruba and myself was born the the United States? Maybe he has some history that I am not aware of. Even though I was born in the U.S., I am so-called African American. On top of that, I am an Orisha and Ifa worshipper.
