Anago James Akeem Osho: Journey into Tourism

The journey into tourism for Anago James Akeem Osho, began at a tender age. It was the combination of love for books, history, folktales, nature and travels with his father, brother and a country that inspired him.
He grew up reading tourism magazines, adventure books, travelling and listening to Yoruba lores from his grandmother at Ebute Metta. The African past, world history and culture appeals to him. His works today are aimed at teaching history, Social Science, re-enacting the positive past, rediscovering tourism potential communities, sites and preserving the environment and historic heritage.
His knowledge of international tourism through Malaysia became his model and actually paved the way for his foundation and faith in the posibility of utopia in the African tourism industry. In 1990, he recieved a letter and a set of publications on Malaysia for his information and reference from PERBADANAN KEMAJUAN PELANCONGAN MALAYSIA, Tourist Development Corporation (TDC). According to Jesse Browne, a tour operator from Malaysia, "it is indeed the letter and accompanying brochures from Malaysia that laid the foundation for Anago James Akeem Osho's foray into the tourism industry".In a conversation with Osho, Jesse exclaimed, "wow! you kept the letter". The letter is an important document in the legacy of Anago James Akeem Osho.
The Malaysian Tourism Promotion Boards' passion for tourism development is evidenced in it's consistency.
The Tourist Development Corporation of Malaysia (TDC) was established on the 10th of August 1972 as an agency under the former Ministry of Trade and Industry by an Act of Parliament.
With the inception of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism on 20 May 1987, TDC was moved to this new ministry; and became the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Act 1992. Popularly known as Tourism Malaysia, its full focus is on promoting Malaysia domestically and internationally.
Osho recieved the letter from the Tourist development corporation of Malaysia in 1990, which was a response to his letter. He recieved a parcel/box which contained the letter and a set of publications. It was amazing how Malaysia packaged it's culture, tourism, ecotourism and technology.
The letter recieved was his initiation and foundation into international tourism and Malaysia became his model.
Anago James Akeem Oshos' story proves that tourism is a "passion" driven industry. Malaysian tourism is still important to Anago Osho and is still ranked high on his list. The tourism development in countries like Canada, India, Singapore, U.S.A, France, Brazil, Egypt, Romania, Kenya, Germany, Ethiopia, Thailand, Rwanda, China, Jamaica, Cuba, Nepal, Israel, Cambodia, Bahamas, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Barbados, Dubai etc. Proves that tourism can transform any country economically.
Dubai is on world tourism map because of shear determination to explore tourism ideas and the success story is still unimaginable. The little desert country's mark can not be easily erased. Tourism, if properly managed would create diverse opportunities for creative minds.
Anago Osho is the founder of Anago James Akeem Osho Adventures, Benin Republic English Tour, The Slave Ports Project, Badagry Historical Tours, Abeokuta Historical Tours and Gloryfilled Children Home.

The Anago in Benin Republic, Togo and Nigeria By Anago James Akeem Osho (A response to an email sent to Anago James Akeem Osho)

Dear brother Anago Osho, When you have the time, could you share some information with me. I was under the impression that the Africans in the Republic of Benin known as Nago were Yoruba. In fact I thought they were call Nago because they may have been from the Anago. When I was in the Republic of Benin last. I was in the town Quidah. I happen to meet a Yoruba man who was working as a tour guide on one of these European tour buses. He was a Yoruba from Ibadan. In my conversation with him, he informed me that the Nago were not Yoruba. How can this be? I wanted to debate with this Brother, but I change my mind. I asked myself, "How can I debate with this Brother who is Yoruba and myself was born the the United States? Maybe he has some history that I am not aware of. Even though I was born in the U.S., I am so-called African American. On top of that, I am an Orisha and Ifa worshipper. In studying the historical experience of slavery in the West, one of the strongest spiritual trad
