During the Door of Return ceremony 2019, in Badagry, Lagos State, 10 Diasporan Americans led by Dr Anderson, from the U.S.A, Puerto Rico, and Haiti graced the historical event. The Badagry local government chairman; Hon Onilude paid a courtesy visit to the diasporan returnees. The annual event was organized by African Renaissance Foundation whose president, Hon. Babatunde Olaide - Mesewaku, is an author, astute promoter of tourism, and culture. The event was chaired by Hon. Abike Dabiri - Erewa; the Chair person, Nigeria Diaspora commission. The event was coordinated by Mr Peter Mesewaku, a dramatist, author and tourism officer and Dr. Olusola Smith, a university lecturer. The official tour organizer was the multiple award winning curator, historian, author, senior tour guide, culture and tourism promoter; Anago James Akeem Osho.
